Frustrated by the price of Kubota, Deer and Yanmar I am considering a Rhino tractor. I hope to till, mow and dig fence posts over my 5 acres. Does nayone have experience with the quality and reliability of these tractors?

Smart move inquiring Steve. I did some consulting work for Rhino Intnl. last year. to some it up in a nutshell, poor quality, reliability, parts support and no resale. and as of my conversation w/them Feb. 1, they are folding up as of March 1998 unless they find a buyer for the company. this comes from the V.P., John Fisher. No Bull. I have several JD, Kubota, & Fords for sale, 2 & 4wd good luck. Jim ....

You are better off with a used low-hour well maintained kubota or deere. You don't have to buy new--they are that good. My boss bought a Rhino for small jobs on his horse ranch. The price was cheap and figured it would'nt get used much so what the heck. In less than 25hrs. the coupler on the hyd. pump broke, all the knobs are falling off , paint peeling, loud, vibrates, can't get to the gas cap ( its under the dash ) thus spilling fuel all over, fried one glow plug shorting out the entire electrical system, very slow hyd., notchy-hard shifting, loose bolts all over, no room in the rider compartment, you are constanting hitting shift levers with your feet. Hard cold weather starting, if fact the starter shims keep getting misalined and grinding the gears. Is that enough??? ....

My neighbor bought a 3024 two weeks ago, and I borrowed it to mow the lawn,I got about 2 hours on it when I noticed the steering went out. I managed toget it close to the house, by that time all the hydraulics were gone. I calledthe place that he purchased it from, I explained the situation and he told me basically that the tractor came without a warranty. I asked what it would costto repair or replace the pump, and got an "I don't know, my mechanic has to look at it" I asked ballpark price again I was told I don't Know. There is a numberI got for so called warranty, 1-800-882-5761. Could you tell me what it cost youfor a hydraulic pump, and what did you do the second time? Thanks Mike! ....
