I haven't had anyone complain about it yet, and I'm glad these threads go back to last year. I have seen it with some of the bigger farm tractors we've sold, it seems they were fine to begin with and we added ballast for loaders and all of a sudden we couldn't get the tractors up to full speed. After the tractors had the calcium removed from tires then they were ok. The tractors were sold for field use and the people who got them have even bragged as to what they will pull. It is possible to over wheight any tractor with ballast. There are tractors that are built too heavy from the beginning and use a lot of there horsepower just to move them. I'm just going to go for a test drive myself. ....

Andy, it's like I said I have not run across that problem and that is a popular tractor for us to sell. I think it must have been a few tractors that slipped by quality control at kubota or something. The new one I was on this weekend pulled full speed with no problem. Art ....

Art...thanx for the response. can you give me a little more info on how to conduct this high-end performance check? I plan on trying it on the unit I'm going to buy before I sign on the dotted line. BTW, I'm near Dallas, where's your dealership? ....

The complaint that was originally listed is they didn't have enough power to pull high gear at full throttle. What I did on mine was to put it in high range and went to the full speed mode on the speed petal. Mine did go to full rpm. There may have been some differences in tractor set up. Industrial tires of coarse are a lower profile than some turf tires, that is like gearing a veichle down so the acceleration would be stronger. I've since talked with two of my customers that have 3010's and they have not seen the problem. We are located in the real central New York just east of Syracuse. ....
