Hi, I'm new to this board and appreciate all responses.
I purchased a ford model 1920 and the owners manual says that it is manufactured in Japan by Shibaura. Anyway I can only put it in the gears on the left hand side of the shift column, you know the shifter to the right of the steering wheel. Is this something minor or do I need to split the tractor and do something more. The shuttle does work as well as the hydraulics, if that means anything. Also it only has about 400 hours total on it.
Thanks.

Have no idea on this set up so very very general questions. Have you talked with the previous owner on this? Is it even possible? They might shed some good insight. Past that have you looked carefully for any sign of a missing rollpin or set screw that is allowing the lever to move but not moving the linkage? ....

There's no better time than now to get to know your local New Holland dealer. And buy a service manual and an owner manual. Dealer might be able to give you some pointers on operation and/or repair. BTW I have the New Holland TC33D version of yours but the tranny is nothing like yours; it's a hydro. ....

Thanks, I'm taking it over to my local dealer tomorrow and have them fix the linkage problem, or at least give me an estimate and proceed from there. I've got the owners manual on both the loader and tractor but you are right about getting the shop manual, I just don't ant to spring close to a hundred bucks for one right now, figure I should invest that money on repairing it for now. I could not find linkage problem so I'm guessing it may be inside the gearbox? Anyone have a shop manual for sale?
Thanks! ....
