We had our first snow since my NH was delivered. Got about 8" Friday night. Well I had to work Saturday morning and was just itching to get out and use the new 6' rear blade I got to clear the drive. After 30 years + of doing it by hand, I was so happy to see snow. Well this was going to be the first real experience using the trator for snow remoavle, so I figured it was going to take me a while to get the hang of raising and lowering the blade, moving the snow around and generally figuring out the best pattern in which to clear the drive. It was so easy and did a good job to boot. I do have to say that I did try with the bucket a little, but the blade made it so easy.
But, I was almost disappointed when I was done and the tractor back in the garage in 30 minutes. I was really hoping it would have taken longer and I would have gotten more time in the seat. Although I say that now, because she is till new, I am sure someday I will be really really glad to be done that quick.
The good news is they are calling for 4-10" more inches of snow tonight into tomorrow.
I can't wait to play again.

I'm ah thinkin a Head Shrink would have a name for us. It'd probably have 6 syalbals and would not mean much. I've been playing in snow most all my life and it is still fun.
This year my time is cut, could not get laid off :-(, so I do not get to play as much as I would like, but I do driveways for the widow, a divorcee, a good looking fox (married) and 2 more.
Ussually I look pretty frosty but the time I come in. ....

If I never have to plow another flake of snow it will be too soon. The last year I lived in western NY state it snowed a foot on halloween and kept it up all winter. I had to plow my 400'driveway nearly every day with my old Ford 9N & back blade and tire chains.
I have a couple of fir trees we cut yesterday that I will chain up to my bucket and move just to see how the loader works. It's cold out here but cold to me is 35 degrees. ....

I probably would have been out there longer doing some of the neighbors drives, had I not had to work from 7am till 4pn. by the time I got home, almost everyone in the area had already done there drive.
I can just hope for tonight, but then again I have to work tomorrow morning too.
Ya know having to work to pay the bills is really just becoming a major inconvenience. I need to win the lottry or something......;-) ....

This past snow was too light and not much fun with the tractor. Wait until we get a nice wet snow, then you'll really have some fun and a lot more friends!!! ....

My wife used to have some suspicions that I was a little off my rocker.
I would watch the weather, via internet, from our place in the Bahamas and when they called for a big nasty storm I'd jump on a plane home for a few days to play.
Now after all these years she KNOWS I'm a LOT off my rocker and loves me all the same.......
Best of luck. ....
