My 4300 throttle has a nasty habit of decreasing or slowing down when I am trying to mow at PTO speed. Evidently something in the throttle linkage is lost. I set it and take off and it slowly decreases.
Anyone else have a problem with theirs, and what was the fix?

You're right, something is loose. I wish I could tell you where it is on your tractor but I can't. I had the same problem on a 4610 but it was taken care of under warranty. Easy fix Treefarmer. Up under the dash area where the throttle lever is there is a friction adjustment screw/bolt. Tighten is a little and adjust it as required to hold rpm. I am assuming you have the HST version? ....
