On my 2 cylinder Kubota L 260 there is oil weeping out of a small hole on the side of the block just below the freeze plug. There is another hole under the adjacent freeze plug that isn't weeping. It leaks when the engine is running. Is this overflow from the crankcase?

Terry, the holes you are talking about are crankase vents. The oil you see is condesation of oil vapours from the sump being blown out of the crankcase by the blow-by from the engine. Depending on the age, etc., of your machine it is normal, depending on the amount involved. Ususally the older the machine gets the worse the 'spitting' gets. ....

Thanks Murt for the insight on the crankcase vent holes. The tractor is 20 yrs. old so I guess the oil weeping is normal! ....
