Gday
I've just joined so hopefully this is the right section
I have a mate who runs a sheep property on the east coast of Tassie. He bought himself a 90hp 4WD Daedong tractor
He's had quite a few issues, but the 4wd is the latest
It doesn't work.
I've checked the mechanical linkage to the shaft into the rear diff/transmission. This is turning
The splines on the driveshaft aren't stripped out ( a common problem apparently)
When lifted up on the forks, with the front diff locked both tyres do turn together so no snapped axles etc
Is there a common weak point on these tractors?
I have a feeling it's something like a selector fork for 4wd as the lever doesn't feel as tight as I remember it used to be
Thanks
Jock

Gday mate, I was waiting for our expert on this, Greg, to offer his customary erudite input, but he may be offline.
It seems that in exchange for low prices you sometimes have to put up with spotty documentation and quality control. To counteract this, owners have banded together. I gather there are a number of such sites but the one I know is the Chinese Tractor Owners Association. Good luck. ....

Disregard my earlier post. Yes, Daedong Industrial in South Korea makes the Kioti. ....
