After hosing down my mower thoroughly, inside and out, while it was running, the next time I tried to start it, it wouldn't. What did I mess up? Help! It doesn't seem to be getting spark. I checked fuses. They're okay. Coil is ok. I had a new one from another tractor that I put on to see if that was the problem. It wasn't. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Randy

It may have not been what you did that has caused the present problem. Check the battery connections if it is turning over it still may not be getting spark. Clean the termials and reconnect. Fuel, Air, oil, And spark check all 4. Which one is missing. If you have all four of them working then, it is mechnical. Check the safety switch it may have shorted or still be wet. Water in the carb.
good luck ....

I would try going over the mower with some compressed air and blow out all of the safety switches and any areas that water may have accumulated and then let it dry for a day or two and try starting it again. No telling what the water may have gotten into that could cause this. Safety switch, ignition switch, coil, mag pickup, a wire harness connector plug, etc. As already mentioned, it may not have anything to do with the water and you will have to troubleshoot. ....
