I was in my Tundra yesterday with the AC on and the fan on low when I crossed a rough Railroad crossing. The fan started making a low vibrating noise and when I turned it on medium the noise got louder. With the fan on high it sounded like the dash was going to explode. Truck is a 2000 model with 106,000 miles. Except for normal maintenace and tune ups and tires, I never had any additional expenses until I reached 105,000 miles about 3 months ago. During the last 3 months I have had to replace the starter, the fuel pump and now this problem. Any ideas what this problem may be. I guess I have been lucky having owned 3 Tacomas and a Camry and not had any major problems in tne past.

You may have a damged blade on the fan which is throwing it off balance. You may have had a Lighter, or a coin slip down the vent and in to the fan. ....

Took my truck in today. Guess what they found in the blower - a mouse nest and a dead mouse which was starting to smell. Didn't think I had any mice in my garage. I have left it parked outside on occasion. Hope I don't have to start putting decon in my vehicles. LOL! ....
