Anyone have an opion as to what a FEL and power steering would cost to put on a JD 750 2wd? Is JD the only brand to use?

A couple of years ago JD was still selling the power steering kit complete for that tractor. The cost was around $850....and probably worth it as the kit was extremely complete. Ask your JD dealer. I've never seen another type that was as good or even that was less expensive.
As for loaders, there are many companies that make them and I think they are all more or less the same. If any one make is distinctly better or worse than another I've never run across it. The same size loader is often sold for a variety of tractors and the only thing that matters is if they make a mounting kit to fit the JD750. Any good mounting system will bolt right up. Just ask if they make one to fit the JD750. And it is important to tell then that your tractor has "open center" hydraulics. More modern JDs use a different hydraulic system.

Most FEL are ~$3000. I had a Bush Hog brand on my 750 4x4. I think it was more sturdy than the JD FEL I have now. I am not sure what push power you will have with out 4x4. I had turf tires and needed to be in 4 wheel to load anything.
The ability to remove the FEL quickly is an asset. You need to consider this in the purchase. ....

I just put on a loader and power steering on my JD650. Basically the same tractor as far as the parts go. I have great success with both items. The power steering is from John Deere and was a complete kit. I purchased the Loader from Kelley Manufacturing in Indiana and is a real nice piece of equipment. I am tough on equipment and it holds up to my punishment. Hope this helps... ....
