Fuel Guage Issue On 1999 Gator

Good Afternoon,
I have a 1999 4X2 Gator and I went to put fuel into it and the gas gauge float was floating where you put the gas in.
How can I repair this? The gauge is located on the fuel tank. Does it twist off? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Paul, we have little new Gator with bad gauge also and I think there is a snap on clamp that holds it in. I have only look a little at replacing ours for our use gauge is little needed. Have not even priced one.

Would like to hear back on this. Including price if you do end up buying a gauge.
