Flushing Tractor Rear End with Diesel Fuel

Is possible or wise to do a diesel fuel flush of a rear end of a tractor ?
I believe that the oil is also used in the hydraulic system for the FEL and not sure what that will do to these systems?

I have done a Kerosene flush on a auto engine to try to quiet the lifters, but never on an axle. In my case I cranked the engine without spark, drained it, then filled with engine oil, cranked it with no spark again, drained it again and refilled with engine oil. ....
