Please see the link below. Has anyone ever seen anything like this, but maybe smaller. I'd like to get one for my new 4700. This one is a bit large. I called and spoke with the owner of the company, this one weighs about 1700lb and cost $4800. He said he will will be comming out with a smaller one within the next year that will weigh about 800lb but will still cost about $4000. Any other Ideas, Thanks David

I have seen this type of machine in use before, it is NOT particularly suited to the work we do (building golf courses) since you still have a stump to deal with, most 'junk' trees will re-grow from the stump in the following year it was cut if the stump is left. For even $4k I could buy a FEW "Brush-Brute's" which will clear up to 4" material & several stalks at a time usually, stump & all. Besides anything larger than a 4" tree you don't want to fall where it wants either, with this type of machine you want some real 'beef' under you not just a compact, most I have seen where on at least a Case 580 size machine, and usually on the back-hoe to boot. Best of luck. ....
