I'm a bit confused about the seating arrangement if the Woods Backhoe is attached to a TZ18... the seat is fixed in the sense that it doesn't swivel. So where do you sit when operating the BH?? Tried e-mailing Woods but they haven't responded. Methinks that the e-mail to most companies is actually a dead file. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks Art..haven't seen one of the Woods BH 6000 in person yet. For some reason I thought this particular model didn't have it's own seat.

b98429 -
I recently had the pleasure(?) of researching the Woods BH6000. From what I saw, though mounted on a BX Kubota model, it did not come with its own seat, rather utilized the swivel of the BX's tractor seat. As much as I was interested in it, this was one of the major reasons that steered me away.
If you go to www.woodsonline.com, and click on the 'new products' link, it will give you a pdf file download that will show that there is no seat with this unit - unfortunately for many, including myself. Just an fyi

oneace - the Woods BH6000 IS their new compact hoe for the sub-compacts -- the first in their line of Groundbreaker X series. Am I missing something here?

I saw one mounted on a NH TZ18 at a no-so-local dealer. Major features include:
- 4-point mount
- "Excavator-style" curved boom design
- All hoses mounted outside
- Seat was swivel seat on tractor -- no 2nd seat!

Negatives in my mind are the single swing cylinder and thereby a 150 degree swing arc -- they eliminated the chain design from the earlier Groundbreakers and predecessors, and went with just a single push/pull cylinder like Kelly and Koyker.

The dealer sells at lot of New Hollands and is a big Woods dealer. He was invited out to Ohio to be part of the design team to give dealer input. I asked him if we should expect to see the Groundbreaker BH6500/BH7500 be replaced with the new curved boom design -- he would not confirm but thought that was a good guess.

I posted the BH6000 Sales brochure out on my PhotoBucket account so that it wouldn't lose too much resolution. See the Picture link for the front side of the brochure and use the Previous button at the top of the window (not the browser back button) to see the back side of the brochure with the specs.

98 have you considered a Rhino hoe? Rhino makes the NH oem hoes, but rhinos are much cheaper. I payed over $1600.00 less for a Rhino 75 which is identicle to a NH 757. Good luck. ....

Hey dr.... this is the first I'm hearing about Rhino BH. I like the $avings you mentioned so it'll be something I'll take a look at. I also heard that NH was going to have their own BH for the TZ18 this spring. This was from the dealership as he stated that the TZ series had gone beyond their expectations and they really weren't ready for the production of some of the implements. Thanks for the reply. PS... saw your pic's of the Farmall and I'm jealous brother. Farmalls are my favorite. ....

98 If they will have a hoe for the TZ it will most likely be made by Rhino since they make the NH OEM hoes. Thus you should be able to buy the exact hoe with the Rhino badges for alot less. You can even get in NH blue as I did. As for the farmall cub it was My fathers I retored it about 7 years ago for fathers day. When I was 7 my older brother got it out when no one was home I was standing on the mower deck when he popped the clutch I fell off and under the back wheel it went right over my chest, breaking my collar bone and collapsing my lung. Good luck ....

When I recently bought a backhoe for my 33D my dealer had a Rhino 75 on the lot and made it perfectly clear to me that it was the exact same hoe as the New Holland 757 except for decals. Even the sub frame pieces come with the same part numbers, the only difference being you pay less for the Rhino. ....

I suspect that in the 4.5 years since this thread was active the problem has been solved.
