There is a cruise control and a new engine that seems to be running smoother then the old one from what owners are saying. There are some other small things to note but the engine seems to be what most people are noting that have had both. ....

As far as I know the speed control is the same on both models and from my experience, very easy to use.

They changed the FEL dismount to make using a front blade/blower/broom much, much easier to use on the 2230. ....

I know for me my extra wide duck feet keep me from using the twin petals easily. I also find that maybe I don't have that much time so I've never found it a need to use the cruise on tractors as I can mow far faster without the cruise as it doesn't allow you to adjust speeds to mow at full tilt. ....

The motor in my 2230 is smoother and QUIETER compared to my neighbor's 2200. Seat is nicer too. I have only used the cruise while "roading" so I see little use for it.

My website has a bunch of detail pics if you are interested. I did get the instructions posted for the grass catcher mounting procedure, but no pictures yet. Maybe in a couple days. ....
