My new BX23 will be delevered next week - thanks for all the forum help. When they deliver it and go thru the set-up, is there any advise on what to look for. Also is it common to have a couple of hours already on the tractor when it's delivered - the BX's on the lot had 2.5 hours, but I didn't think to ask if the new one I bought would be that one.

Thanks again.

BX hour meters are rigged up differently than most.

Most tractors have a tach and the hour meter records a full hour when the engine is running at PTO speed. If the engine is set at half throttle the meter records 1/2 hour for every hour run.... and so on.

The BX records time at an hour per hour any time the key is turned. Even if you do not start the engine, when you turn the key that first click that clock starts running. ....

Let me clarify... My 4115 records a full hour per hour when the engine is running at 2650 RPM (engine PTO speed).

If I run the engine at 1300 RPM it would record a full hour every 2 hours.

It is based on the normal engine operating speed that results in 540 RPM at the rear PTO. ....
