An internet buddy of mine is having a problem with his Kubota. He posted it on another board but as of yet, nothing. If anyone has any ideas, please responed. Below is the original post.
I have a M6800. The lift lever only works on the last (upper) inch. This only allows about 5" of clearance on my Bushog when in the highest position. This position used to be about 1/3 up from the bottom. If I don't have an impliment on, the arms will go nearly to the ground. I have checked the hydraulic fluid and it is full when checked cold and not operating. There are no adjustments in the external linkage. I did recently have a problem with this lever being practically frozen up. I decreased the spring pressure and sprayed penetrant on it where it goes into the case. It took a few days but works very freely now. There is no indication that the lever has been bent. It has about 750 hours on it. I am not the only user.

I don't know 6800's. If it's a position control hitch, it sounds like an out of adjustment position control rod. Sometimes the adjustments aren't obvious. I'd look for a light rod that attaches to the lift arm. The one on my Ford goes into a fitting with a lock nut and continues back to the control valve. It's also fairly easy on my Ford to see when the lift spool actually is depressed when the quadrant lever is operated. A position control and other types 3ph doesn't lift until the lift spool is depressed so that is something to check.
On some hitches the very top of the quadrant travel is a transport position that usually is identified by a detent. If there's a detent, the hitch should go to full height without the lever going into a detent. I'd bet on a linkage problem in this case. Worn cam follower pins are famous for creating this sort of problem on old Fords.

Billy, tell your friend to pull off the rear whell, or squeeze in if he's small enough, and have a look at where the control arm (the part you put in your hand to move the 3pth) goes into the rear end.
Some of the earlier models had a two piece control arm, the lever was bolted into the rod that came out of the rear end.
If this has happened the lever is no longer in proper alignment with the mating part, this means the valve in the rear end is not getting the proper range of motion and will either not lift the 3pth all the way, or will not lower it all the way depending on in which direction the slippage occurred.
If the two have moved against each other yopu can usually make out the marks from where they used to be, just put them back there and try it again.

Billy, thanks for your efforts. I did crawl under there yesterday. There are no adjustments of any kind. One thing I found is that the lever attaches to a rod that goes into the case with a pin. I am wondering if, when the lever was nearly frozen that my hired help, strong as a bull, might have forced the lever and sheared the pin. But if that happened it found a spot to stick. The lever now moves freely but I cannot see the lever moving on that rod. Not being sure that is the problem and not having easy access to that location I haven't done anything.
What do you guys think? ....

Billy, that's why my first suggestion was to take off the back wheel, it's a bugger of a place to try to get into.
The easy test if his machine is the type held together wiith a roll-pin is to take a small drift and try to move the pin through the hole, if it has been sheared off it will not move, if it does move then he has bigger problems.
The other culprits that it could be are all internal and REAL difficult to get to. Best thing would be a factory trained tech. to have a look at it. A call to the local Orange store might shed some light on the situation.

Murf, he did call the Kubota dealer but it'll be a couple of weeks before they can get to it. He also asked them about this problem but they had never heard of it before.

Billy, did look at the back of one and that roll pin is a small one and I would say easy to shear. I would wonder about loosening up the shaft before driving the pin in to make sure it does turn. ....
