Looking for someone's input about a Kubota L2850 with loader and Woods backhoe. It has 700 hours and seems to be in pretty descent condition. The seller is asking $11,800. Is that a resonable price? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

You don't say which L2850 it is. You might want to look at the link below and look at the specs for the different ones. I really don't know a lot about pricing on used tractors, but if that's actual hours and it's in decent condition, I would think that would be a pretty good price. Backhoes and front end loaders are expensive. ....

I am not sure which one it is because i have not talked to the owner. I do know it has a shuttle shift, 4 speed transmission with high and low gear. So from there thats all I know. ....

If it is a 4 speed, 2 range it is the standard gear model, not the more desireable GST (Glide Shift Transmission). There is nothing wrong with these units the are just not as handy for mowing or loader work, since they are a manual shift requiring clutch operation to shift. If you are planning to use it for a lot of mowing or loader work you might wish to keep looking. Otherwise these are good units, they are the 'little brother' of the units we run in our fleet (L3450's & the newer Grand L4200's), they are very dependable and will give many years of trouble-free service, provided they are cared for properly. Best of luck. ....
