Good Morning,
I am thinking of looking into buying maybe a Kubota B7100HST-D
tractor that the guy said runs fine but the tractor will not move. 1,600 hours on it.
Aside from the obvious has anyone had experience with this problem?
If it is a can of worms Maybe should pass or is it worth taking a good look at it.
Some Hydro mowers have a lockout for allowing pushing them.
Deeres' 4000 series is a direct drive pump that is either good or bad.
He is asking about what they seem to be going for if not broken.
Have not actually talked to the seller but maybe interested.
Any thoughts? A pump is probably wayyyyy up there in price?
thanks gary

There is no hydro lockout on the B7100.

I steer away from things that do work, have lower price in half for a broken machine, and I would still need to be completely confident I could fix it. ....

Check the obvious, is linkage broken or bent that controls the trans? Maybe is not connected. Best hope to me. Check fluid level, check condition of the fluid...if low enough it will not move the tractor it would scare me...if contaminated would also be concerned...what kind of service did the machine not get?

If I were wanting to sell that tractor and knew the trans was not moving it would have it taken care of, if it is something simple you would be happy with. While I say check on it, unless you find something like lose linkage would have to be heavy price discount. Repairs on such can be very costly. Stop by local Kubota dealer and talk with shop manager on issues that could be and get idea on price to repair. It may shock you on the cost. ....
