So I have been searching for a compact tractor with a loader that I can afford my budget is small it was 4 grand now it's 7 I found one on line that's listed as a 78 15hp 4x4 can't see the model numbers because of loader arm so I asked the seller the model they replied 1503. Is this a grey market tractor and can I get parts and how or a service manual the tractor only has 800hrs on it

It sure is rough trying to find a diamond in the rough for a fair price.
800 hours on the meter says the machine was coddled with loving care and only used for 30 minutes a week.
Hmmm more probable that it has rotated around through 9999 hours at least once and now is showing 800 but really at least 10800.
Does the condition match up ?
Best of luck huntng!

I do not think that the Kubota L1501 was ever sold in the US. I only see them in the UK, AU, and other non US locations. And very sparse at that, checked with my Kubota dealer site and they have no listing for the L1501. So you may want to check in your area. At 43 years old could gets harder for any brand or model.
Best of luck. ....

From a dealers stand point. The model is a grey market tractor. They are around and there were people that did import them as well as more.
What it means to you. You can have difficulty finding some parts. The biggest thing is you can't walk into a dealer and expect him to have parts sitting on the shelves unless they used are on a US model and you provide the correct part numbers. The dealers have no means in the Kubota system to find out what the part numbers are. You might be lucky and be in an area that a dealer might have had experience with them and be of more help to you.
Of the compacts there are only a few makes that you might have much luck with but many get frustrated after a few years and move in to a US model. ....

Thanks for your help again yes I figured out that it was a grey market tractor the 2 cylinder diesel was just rebuilt professionally and it had a nice loader from bush hog I loved how narrow it is 50inchs I'm a stone mason and getting up sidewalks is a bonus so yes I bought it it runs great and so far no leaks except for some hydrologic lines witch I will replace. Already bought a finish mower a back blade and I had a post hole digger cleared 2 acres of small trees with it last week I'll be in touch when I need parts thanks again for your help you kind of convinced me not to be too scared of the grey market tractors

Interesting search started with the Shibaura ended up with a Grey Kuboat L1501.
Can you update us with how your first 5 months with it are going?
Did you need any parts? Were you able to find them?
Still happy ? ....
