I just bought the B2150 and the only way to shut it off is with the emergency switch. What could cause the key not to turn it off? Any help would be apreciated.

I owned a B2150 for 10 years and the switch never worked. I just pulled the manual button back and she would shut off. That way when I sold her and as far as I know she's still that way. Couldn't see spending a 150. for the valve when the manual does the exact same thing. ....
