Well, I've done it. I have an accepted offer on an 80 in northern Wisconsin (closer to where I work). I don't think my little BX is gonna be able to cut the mustard any more.

Any thoughts on the value of a BX2230 with 75 hours, FEL, 54" deck, grass catcher, snowblower and a 48" box blade?

I think I'm gonna need something in the 50hp class now.

Congrats.

Of course now that you're a country gentleman farmer you need to start thinking like one.

You don't sell a tractor, you just buy a bigger one and keep the little feller for small jobs.

You can never have too many tractors........ LOL.

Best of luck.

PS: Don't foget to give me the Northing and Easting of the strip when you get it built. ;-> ....

Murf: Looks like I'll have room for about a 1500 footer, without taking down any trees. Is that enough room for ya?

Yeah, kinda thinking' the same on the tractor. Maybe add something in the 30-50 hp class for brush hogging and hopefully a heavier loader. (Some rock piles to move) Maybe I'll get to know the rental place for a while first. ....

Heck, I could put the 206 in there, but in the 182 that's a cinch, as long as those trees you leave aren't 150 footers.

Let's see, I know from experience, Osh Kosh is about 400 nautical from here, with a cruise rate of 150 kts. that's under 3 hours, including a little sight-seeing and a visit with those nice people in Customs.

In fact with the tundra tires on I wouldn't even worry about it, just give it a good cut, walk it good for FOD and gopher holes and in I come, LOL.

Best of luck. ....
