DRankin: When you had your BX22, when operating the BH, was the ROPS in front of you or over you. I'm trying to determine if the design of the larger ROPS on the 22/23 would make a differance. I haven't seen a picture of the 22/23 with an operator running the BH. Just the "little person" model next to the BX on the Kubota website. The Woods site has a very small picture of the hoe in operation and it doesn't seem to be an issue. But, first hand information is allways better.
I was close with the 6-6 guess though, huh? LOL. At only 5-9 I think I'd be okay under the BX2230 ROPS.

With the seat swiveled you sit directly under the ROPS. On a BX the seat not only swivels, but it slides toward the rear before locking in place, placing the bend in your knees directly over the B/H footrest.
The Woods picture looks to me as if it does not articulate toward the rear. It appears as though you might have to perch on the edge of the seat so your thighs and calves don't come in contact with frame work.
Oh... and good eye. That was pretty close.

Okay, my sources have told me (tonight) that the seat rotator on the Woods unit also slides the seat to the rear in a similar fashion, so the seating position would be the same or at least similar, under the ROPS. He states that at 6-2, his only complaint is the need to wear a hard hat because of the "Cranial-ROPS impact zone" issue. It sounds as though I will be okay (being vertically challenged) but the 6' and over crowd may have a problem. ....
