In all likihood you probably can. BUT...... is it worth the risk? You change the oil and filter probably once a year twice tops. Why not use what is called for and purchase the best possible filter and oil within reason? For example Diamler Chrysler will void the warranty on a Cummins engine if you use a Fram oil filter and lubrication system problems arise. That should tell you something about the quality of some filters as opposed to others. In my mind Fleetguard makes the best filters out there. They make filters for Cummins & John Deere) If you want a reasonable priced after market filter, try them. ....

The engine in the Kioti 1914, is identical to a so called Kubota engine. I say so called because neither company engineered it, they simply manufacture it after purchasing the rights to do so. The Kubota filter #70000-15241 will fit the Kioti 1914. Most Kioti engines are nearly identical to the engines in Kubota. Kioti didn't steal anything from Kubota any more than Kubota would steal from the Germans! Never ever expect the truth from Kubota! ....
