Well … after much research, I think I’ve settled on the JD 4110 w/ hydro, 410 FEL and R3 tires. I got two prices from local JD dealers here in CT and they seem a little high ($15,600 and $15,300) – both are plus tax. Whether it’s a new car or a new tractor purchased through a dealer, I always feel I’m over paying. Has anyone purchased/priced a 4110 and how do my prices look?? Thanks! Mike

Given the fact that the HST and the tires will add $2500 or more to the price of the base Gear/R1 tractor, that sounds like an ok price to me. That is about what I paid one year ago for a 4100 Gear with a 410 loader, a box blade and a post hole digger. ....

Thanks Mark! How do you like the JD 4100 - any regrets? I've read a lot of good things regarding the 41xx, but have been reluctant to purchase due to the $2k price difference between it and the Kubota B7500. Is it worth the $2k more - what do your think? ....

Check the deere website, looks like that have some rebates-up to $1200 on the new ten series. ....

No regrets at all. I think the increased weight over the kubota has been a plus. The engine was a little cranky, but that is more about our local fuels and my mile high operating conditions. A squirt of Red Line Oil Plus 85 fixed that and it purrs like a kitten now. If you plan to remove the loader on a frequent basis it sure is quick and easy to do. In short I like it and wouldn't trade it for any tractor on the market at this point. ....

Thanks everyone! The JD dealers I talked to weren't aware of any promotions - they said that the TEN series "were too new to have any promotions". Well - per the JD web site it looks like they were wrong, they do have a promotion on the TEN series. I can save $900 on my configuration! That makes the decision much easier - I hope to vist the dealer next week and purchase. ....
