ANYONE HAVE ANY OPINIONS ON THE JOHN DEERE 790 TRACTOR GOOD OR BAD?I AM ABOUT TO TRADE IN A JOHN DEERE 770 FOR A 790. I HAVE HAD GREATSERVICE OUT OF MY 770 AND WOULD NOT CONSIDER ANYTHING BUT A JOHNDEERE UP TO THIS POINT.

I saw a 790 at a home show about a month ago. I don't know much about them, but I liked what I saw. The rear tires seemed kind of small for a 30hp. tractor. Why don't you look into an JD 870? Its heavier and larger the the 790. The pto hp are both 25. I heard there are new 870's around still at close-out specials??? ....

I have a John Deere 790 and love it, Have had no problems so far. I mow 6 acres and matain a 600 foot drive way. I also have a loader that is a real time / back saver. This unit has been flawless so far. ....
