Go Bottomrear blade or front blade for snow

i am getting ready to purchase a 2305 i am just trying to decide which blade to get...there is about a 900.00 difference w/ the front blade being more expensive...i will pay the extra money if needed but want to see if it is neccesary...will a rear blade do the job just as well?

A front blade is the way to go, With a rear blade you drive over and pack the snow before it is removed. If you reverse the blade you will have to back up all the time for a clean sweep. ....

We have a Kubota L4310 and use a 7 ft. rear blade for snow removal in central NH. Last winter it worked fine and allows you to use the loader to "stack" snow piles. ....

One thing to consider is how much snow you get and how does it sit? If it's conducive to plowing with a front mount plow, that's the way to go. I'm on a hill top. So the main section of my drive is usually blown clear by wind. The upper section has big drifts. I need a loader to move and pile that as a front plow would struggle once the banks are built up. Plus my gravel is too big (previous owner's mistake) so a front plow would move a ton of rock.
Think about how your snow lies, drifts, etc. Where will you put it? Do you need to lift it? Etc.
