Tom;
I am looking at some things in Refrew. What can you tell me about Renfrew?

Peters: Guess you mean Renfrew, the city rather than Renfrew, the county. I live in the county, which is probably larger than some of the New England states. The city is a few miles south of the Trans-Canada highway and so I seldom go through Renfrew myself. It is large enough to have Provincial and Federal government offices and I think of it as a typical agricultural service centre with a bit of logging and other resource industries thrown in. It does have it's own general hospital, which is something that our health care reform wiped out in all but the larger cities.
Renfrew does have a lot of actions--farm machinery, household goods etc. My neighbour is sort of a pro yard saler and goes to many actions there. I can inquire about specific from him when he returns from hospital or other people who are there frequently.

Sorry Tom, I have been known to type 60 mistakes a minute. I assume actions is auctions?
It is one area in Ontario that I have never travelled. There are a couple of oportunities in Renfrew that I am looking into.
I assumed that Renfrew county was large, the cottage we just sold was in the Kawathas. I thought you might know more about the town than I. ....

'Actions' did I say? That should be auctions. Spell checker strikes again. It undoes about 80% of the 60+ mistakes a minute I type but adds a few of it's own just to see if I notice. Oh well, happens to everybody. A couple of days ago a newspaper story described a federal political party leader as being moot on a subject. He hadn’t said much either.
Peters: You've probably looked at Renfrew's web site by now but here it is never the less: http://www.renfrewontario.com/
Let me know if there is something specific you're interested in. I meet with Renfrew people sometimes through work on area library board committees. It looks like the Renfrew Library doesn't have their own web site yet, but their e-mail is: renlib@renc.igs.net.
