I am buying my first tractor this spring. Looking at Green 4310, Blue TC33DA, and Orange 3030. However, that is not the reason for the post. Do any of you use the “Quick Connect” add-ons that they sell for the 3PH? Do you like what you have? Is it worth the money?

It would depend on you! Are you going to be hooking up often? The extendable links take care of a lot of the aggrivation of hooking and unhooking but if I was doing it several times in a day or had back problems I'd consider one. The other thing that you need to do is be sure that the implements that you wish to use would all go with the quick disconnect you purchase. The problem with some of the after market attachemnts is different measurements of the attaching links. ....

I agree with Art on the attachments, but if you are handy, making them all work isnt too hard. As far as a back saver and time saver, you can't go wrong, what used to take me at least 1/2 hour hooking up the finish mower now takes less than 5 minutes. When doing my arena, switching between the box scraper, landscape rake, grader blade, and drag harrow was made extremely easy using it. I have a cat I Speeco. It came with one set of catI to CATIII adapters, and found I could not get any more locally, so I use bushings instead with those pins with the loops on them that for the life of me I cant remember what they are called.
The attachments I have are a KK 72" finish mower, a KK 60" Tiller, KK 60" grader blade, KK 60" Landscape rake, some unknown brand box scraper, painted red with 4 scarifier blades, and a boom lift. The only thing that will not work well is the boom lift, but it still fits, just not wide enough to sit solidly in the hooks, so I just go slow with it, hasnt fallen out yet, and I dont think it will. The only attachment I felt wasnt safe to use with it was a 60" KK Rough cut mower, and since adapting it would have been a pain, and having to remove the QH to fit it on was out of the question I returned it. ....

The cost of the quick attach is the least of the costs. By using one, you then must make sure all the implements you buy are compatible, or you must be able to make them compatible(welding, drilling etc) Buying cheap offbrand, high end off brand or older implements, may not be feasible if they don't fit and you can't re-engineer. Buying all matching implements is where the real cost may lie, paying a premium for matching colors. ....

I don't know if other brands offer this feature or not, but Land pride is my favorite. They have an adjustable top hook that you can change by pulling two pins to raise it or lower it in about 30 seconds to fit whatever Cat. 1 hitch your impliment has. Lots easier than cutting and welding up hitches to fit a fixed size coupler. Frank. ....

The Speeco has two options for the top link, a u shaped bracket with an ear on it where the link pin goes through the attachment and connects it to the hitch, it has two holes for adjustment so you can draw the attachment in tight or set it back a bit. The other option is a hook that bolts to the hitch, but I found it to be useless for any of the attachments. The only one I needed to modify was the finish mower, the frame for lifting needed to be moved to the inside of the swivel arms to fit the hitch, all the other attachments fit fine, the tiller is a very snug fit, so it takes just a bit longer to hook up and I need to back into it exactly of else I would have to muscle it into place. The rough cut deck just wouldnt lift high enough for my liking and I decided I didnt want to mess around drilling new holes to lower the lift points on it, other than that all the other king kutter attachments fit fine with no mods. ....

I bought Pat's quick hitch system,works great,cost around
$200. The only draw back is that it extends your lower
arms 3 to 4 inches. My top link is hydralic so hooking that up is no problem.

Quick, easy, cheap & no modifications required.

If only they threw in more of those bend washers... Also getting the width right can sometimes be a pain; but nothing like aligning without the quick hooks.

I don't use them. All our implements are on caster carts. I just roll them into position and hook up. But, if you have store your implements on the ground, I believe they would be worth every penny. ....

I've got a JD IMatch quick hitch and had to modify a few implements to work with it, but now I'm really glad I did. It was worth the cost and effort since now I can pick up any implement anywhere on our property, hills included, with virtually no effort.
I've discovered three areas of incompatibility to watch for. One, the implement top pins and bottom pins must be roughly in the same vertical plane (some implements have the top pin set back 6-8"). Two, vertical distance between the top and bottom pins may be wrong (an adjustable top pin on the quick hitch might or might not solve this one). Three, the quick hitch top hook might not fit under the top pin depending on available clearances. I have not found the bottom pin spacing to be a problem, not to say it couldn't be on some implements.
The JD IMatch is not adjustable as some others are, but once you get everything adapted you can mount/dismount 3ph implements without getting out of the seat (except to hook up pto shafts for powered implements). Also, the quick hitch may require you to buy longer pto shafts since the implements will be pushed about 6" further back.
I think I-Match or similar is the way to go if your implements are, or can easily be made, compatible. If not, Pat's Easy Change should work with most anything but is more effort to use. ....
