I just bought a 7800 this past spring. The difference in price between it and the B3030 was $2,000. The difference is in the creature comforts. The engine drive train, etc. are all the same.

Had a new B7800 delivered this last Saturday. My first tractor and this is a real newbie question. I have a Woods BB60 Rotary Cutter that I took off so I could hall a trailer and can not get it back on again. I attach the lift arms, no problem. The top link attaches to the cutters clevis, no problem. What I can not get connected is the cutters driveline to the tractors PTO shaft. I spin the shaft so that it lines up with the cutters driveline slide it on and it goes about � way. I can not get it to slide all the way so that it will click.<br>

So here�s my question, what am I missing, what is the secret handshake between these two?<br>

My new B7800 is being delivered next week (05/07). I have a question on engine break in. I know the manual says not to run it at �full speed� for the first 50 hours. I am not quite sure what that means. The mark for the PTO speed is pretty close to the top of the tachometer. Does that mean running it at �almost� full speed is OK?

VOLANT, Pa. - Archie Glenn's family made sure he was Deere-ly departed. The 99-year-old dairy farmer had a passion for John Deere tractors. So at his Feb. 4 funeral, his family had his casket pulled to the North Plain Grove Cemetery using one of Glenn's favorite vehicles: his 1950s vintage John Deere tractor.<br>

"He loved those machines," said Glenn's daughter, Ruth Wigton, of Volant. "They never let him down."<br>
<br>
Glenn was an electrician who worked for years in the Slippery Rock University maintenance department. But his first love was the dairy farm that he worked with his father and, later, his children. Glenn owned several John Deere tractors, buying his first in 1935. When he retired in 1977 at age 72, he continued to mow 20 of his acres and land owned by five neighbors with a tractor.<br>

Glenn's entire funeral was tractor themed. His deep green casket had a liner embroidered with a yellow-and-green tractor image. Flower arrangements were yellow and green. And even the music had a John Deere ring to it.<br>

The family opted not to have organ music playing softly in the background at the funeral home. Instead, they downloaded music featuring the sounds of a running, idling and stalled tractor engine from the John Deere Web site.<br>

"Dad's funeral was not a mournful occasion, but a celebration of his life and what he loved � from the people to the tractors," Wigton said.<br>

I am buying my first tractor this spring. Looking at Green 4310, Blue TC33DA, and Orange 3030. However, that is not the reason for the post. Do any of you use the �Quick Connect� add-ons that they sell for the 3PH? Do you like what you have? Is it worth the money?

I do not mean to hijack your message but I did not see a way to send a personal e-mail on this site. From this post I saw your pictures. Nice tractor!! Picture # 6 (I think) is the detail of a quick connect. Who made it and how do you like it?

Can anyone tell me how long it takes for your premium membership to kick in? I paid a couple of days ago. The site's verbiage made me believe it would kick in instantaneously. I have e-mailed the people that run the site but have not received a response. Is this the way they always operate?
