I got my 4100 back from the local dealer yesterday. They inserted a shim under the spring that is part of the valve that controls the pressure to the power-steering system. They had replaced ps and 3ph pumps-no help. A pressure check indicated that the ps pressure near or below 1000psi - low range according to JD. They said that the shim boosted pressure up to 1300 psi. I tried the tractor out at the dealer and this seems to have gone a long way toward solving the problem. I would suggest that anyone owning a JD4100, test for this problem and if it occurs, have it looked at while under warrantee.

Is the B7500 at 21 hp adequate for a 4 foot bushhog brush mower?<br>Also, what have other users experienced regarding the rear lift of the B7500, B7300, and B7100 tractors that do not have position control? Do they hold their position or do they tend to leak/drop down and constantly need to be adjusted?<br>Any comments would be greatly appreciated. I am considering the B7500 and B2410.

Charlie, please let me know of your experience as soon as you can? What attachments did you get? Do you have R4's on the front? I am trying to get the following question answered: In terms of strength and durability, is there any difference between the engine, transmission, and axels of the 7500 and the 2410. I don't think there is, but I have yet to speak to anyone who has actually torn one down for repairs. The same question/answer would apply to 7300 versus 2400. Any help you can give will be appreciated.

I am trying to make the same decision, but am also considering a NH TC25D.
Regarding Kabota, the 7500 does now have position control on the lift, while the 2410 ant 2710 do. I am agonizing over this since the 2410 is 3hp and $2,000 more than the 7500. I am waiting for more responses on this and the tractorbynet boards. Good luck.

The price difference between a B2410 and B7500 is about $2,000. However, other than 2hp, the only major difference is the position control on the 2410. Is this worth the 2,000 for the average non-commercial user???? Any comments would be appreciated.
