bparran, glad to hear the larger 48" deck took care of your problem. Major difference in cutting ability and a much more stoutly built. I'm sure anyone else having plugging problems with their 44" deck can solve their problem by going to the 48" model.

Stacy, I'm not selling anything but maybe you could use the following info. I have a L245DT with a original Kubota FEL. The loader is model #1200. I also have another L245DT with a after-market Bush Hog brand loader on it. It's model # is 22400T. The Kubota one is a little heavier with lower bottom brackets running back to the rear axle (optional I believe?)and it has 1 and 3/8" dia. ram rods. The Bush Hog has 1 and 1/4" ram rods and it is much easier to detach (although it has custom under carriage steel work added). Both work great.

Tom, not sure if this info will be usefull to you but Kubota (Osaka)Japan is indeed a wonderful company. It has a ongoing (very responsible) safety program in effect in the USA for older Kubota tractors without ROPS. They are offering a rops bar and safety seat belt and all mounting hardware for their cost of $148.00 I believe. Go to KubotaUSA web site and you can download the certificates to take to your local dealer. It must be installed by a Kubota dealer service center and Kubota pays the dealer almost $200.00 to install it. This may certainly be an incentive for a dealer to assist you in your rops search regardless of where your tractor was manufactured at or for which market it was sold to! After all, this is about corporate responsibility for the safety their product sold to the public (you). I do not want you to get hurt and neither does Kubota! I'm sure politics and profit will not get in the way of safety in regards to Kubota International Corporation. Give this a try and be persuasive to the issue of safety not politics or market share. Frank, I have two L245DT's One has 470hrs. and the other has 1400hrs. of hard use. Both sound just like your description. I have read of others saying the same thing. Some of these older tractors are running and working fine with over 3000 to 4000 hrs on them. One thing Kubota is known for is they make a hellofafine engine. You only got 400 hrs. on her so don't sweat a thing. Don't worry mon! do your maintenence and check the grease and lube and use her!
