I am looking at buying a JohnDeere 2030 tractor with 3000 hours. It is locally owned and has been used to maintain a 3 acre lawn. Mint condition with easy attach bucket in New condition. Also has a open canapy. Looking for some advice from someone who knows. The mechanic I talked to stated that this is one of the best John Deere models produced. Looking for advice from the people who know John Deere. Thank You Ken

Having to replace the overhead fan for the 3rd time, in as many years in our New Holland TN75S cab tractor. Anyone have a similar problem, or suggestions as to the cause? It, and the radio, soley occupy a 25 amp circuit. The dealer put a 30 amp fuse in the last fan replacement, which blew today (6/27/04). The fan sounds "god awful" (like the bearings are gone)and only turns on high position. Fuse blows after about 6 seconds.<br>

Replacement means removing the headliner and roof. The headliner is riveted into place. How do you remove rivets? A nail punch? problemsatatinvestusa.net<br>

Just got an 1872 Hydro and starts great when its cold and never shuts off when its hot but when I shut it off I can start it right back up right away but if it sits like 10 mins, I dont get a spark, the engine turns but never fires. Checked ignition and noticed that the yellow wire when cold gets a charge but when having the starting problem gets NO charge. Yellow wire connects to white that goes down into the engine with the spark plug wires, Coil wire?? Is the coil sending charge back through the wire to the ignition?? Is my coil over heating when I let it set too long and it needs to cool off? I am assuming that the fan on my drive shaft pulls/pushes air through the engine. I have spent HOURS trying to figure out WHY. Please help.

I have the woods 7500 with the pto pump
I have used it on 5 different tractors.
one of the big advantages is you can use it on any tractor
loan it to a friend or family member without loaning the tractor too, if they have a 30hp tractor or bigger.
or a subframe kit will allow use on a smaller tractor.
if you leave the backhoe unhooked for months at a time
you don't have to worry about the old fluid contaminating
you entire tractor. Ken

The finish cut is uneven, not what one would expect from a mower in this price range. The blades are on correctly, and they are not mulching blades.

Iam looking at a 3130 (03)w/la723 loader ,bh90 backhoe.The tractor has 156hrs. on it. Its 4wheel drive hydro.Backhoe has a 18' bucket&loader has a 72' bucket.Very clean ,is $22,500. a good price.

I like windshield washer fluid to fill tires.Have tried weights and counter ballance and prefer loaded tires .Once they are loaded you can forget them.You don't have to unbolt them or unhook anything.Good luck Ken

Joe,I have same situation.I haul my 4300 loader and backhoe.I live in West Virginia and if you have an accident the 1st thing the INS. wants to know is; the trailier made to carry that much weight, does it have breaks on all 4 wheels,and is the vehicle made to pull that much weight.My 2 pennys ken

John sounds like the support legs on the ramps are to far back on the ramps.If the legs come straight down right at the front end of the ramps it might help.
My trailer ramps have no support legs and I have been loading and unloading a 4300 Tractor loader and backhoe real often without problems.But always hooked up the trailor to the truck first.Looks like useing blocks would be tough getting the blocks out after the weight of the tractor is on them.My 2 Pennys Ken

Harvey yes the rearend spur gears ground up into a fine shavings along with the left rear axle spline.This has happened twice on my late 1999 JD4300.And this past weekend it broke again.Only difference is this time it was the rearend and the right axle. 1) was at 25 hrs. 2) was at 50 hrs. 3) at 120 hrs.First two times I was pushing Brush (limbs and small trees, from a past ice storm.This time I was digging a ditch with the backhoe and started to move the tractor forward and it snaped.Just wondering if others have had this happen. The rearend went out four the third time today. The first two times I was pushing brush.At 25 hrs then again at fifty hours.This time I have 120 hrs. I was digging a ditch with the backhoe and started to move the tractor up and it snaped very loud and it was over. Lucky to have 4x4.I got it back home using the front .I'll take it back to dealer in the AM.Boy am I ever going to hate this.Ken

John I agree with you competely.When you go to a dealer and deal on a new tractor you don't normally mean a new year old tractor.I would really watch this dealer.Don't underestimate this guy -----they know exactly what they are doing. They don't stay in business making mistakes.As for people who see nothing wrong with this practice I think if the money were out of there pocket there thoughts would be alittle different.Ken

Cause of problem was a frayed wire under seat causing the fuse to blow. Thanks for the help.
