I've had one for two mowing seasons now and it's great. Very easy to install. The 6' version has reinforcements that allow you to drive over it for installation. I can put mine on in about 3 minutes.

I know someone selling a 1986 Kubota M8030DT that seems in pretty good shape with 3622 hours showing.<br>

What is a good price range to expect to pay for this? It does not have a loader, but it does have the high clearance "mudder" option.<br>

I do not need the "mudder" option, but it should not hurt anything either, right? I would use this primarily for bush hogging pasture land and other general tractor stuff on a small farm.

I'll be using it to move/dig dirt, manure, tree stumps, some rocks on hilly land and try to level some ground for stuff like corrals. I think that you will find much more information about the Chinese Tractors/Jinma,Kama,Foton, over at Tractor bi Net and N Y C T O .

Doesn't seem to be that much activity here at this site.

Comparing a Chinese Tractor to a JD,NH,Kabota,MF,Mahindra,Kiota, etc in a new tractor. They are all better than the Chinese tractors, but they are about twice as much. The Yanmars are used units, and I don't even consider used units myself, and I don't like purchasing used or rebuilt units. They are just too risky for me.

I have 135 hours on my Jinma 224 and most all have been pulling a 5 ft box blade. So far so good. I have heard from others that have 400 to 600 hours and they are also having good luck. I have also heard stories from some that have had problems, either from owner operator abuse or from lack of lubrication.

It is very very important that you make absolutely sure that all oil reservoirs have oil in them, when you first get your tractor, and that all parts are adequately greased.

Hi Rob,

I know this might sound like something too good to be true but I have a recommendation for you. There was a book given to me as a gift when I was in the same position you are. The title is "Finding and Buying Your Place in the Country" by Les Scher. Its an expensive book $25. or so but worth so much more. I think of it as a 'must have' if your are buying rural property. Its in its 5th or 6th revision and is loaded with everything you need to be aware of. Its written by a real estate attorney. Please see the reviews at Amazon.com on this book. All 5 stars. I've given several away as gifts to friends becuase it saved me from several costly mistakes that I hoped others could avoid.

My dealer is delaying delivery of a 4400 HST due to a modification to the HST valve plate. He says the part number is LVA 10024 and it affects all 4200, 4300, and 4400 models. Does anyone know about this modification kit? When did it come out and does it have problems? It is supposed to bring the tractor to a slower stop when you release the pedal. Thanks for your help.

Did the dealer set this up ?!? Thats definately a dealer problem ! They are supposed to check all of that before they get delivered. <br>P.S. they do get delivered to the dealership with the wheels on from J.D. , but if the dealer had to swap em or widen em for some reason... that still should have been caght before you got it! Hope no one got hurt!<br>joe

Just talked with a dealer who sells Bush Hog brand front loaders, and he told me that Bush Hog does not make a front loader for the TC29D with supersteer. He also said that New Holland has some reservations about putting their own front loader on a TC with supersteer. Is anyone aware of a problem here? Has anyone had problems of any kind with supersteer?

I bought a sunshade made for an MTD lawn/garden tractor for $90 and improvised its attachment to the metal plate under the seat of my NH TC29D. It works great, and the price is right. Only trouble is the seat no longer pivots, but you may not even have that kind of seat.

I am getting ready to purchase a rock rake and have been looking at Landpride and Harley. I have a JD 4600 and think that a 6ft Harley or 6ft Landpride will work on this tractor. Does anyone have any experience with either of these machines? Thanks, for your time.
