could any horse power guru's please assist me in making a final decision RE:brushcutters. I am awaiting delivery of a new kubota L4300, and am thrilled!- I will be using it primarily to reclaim overgrown areas of my property, tall grass & small sapplings (under 1 inch). I was planning on getting the woods brushbull 60" standard duty cutter, because i figure it would make better use of the 37 hp at the pto, than the 72". the tractor has 45 hp at the engine, which is in the range of both cutters. the trick is that the company's list an engine hp range and only a pto speed, which is the same across the board,no mention of hp.
so, do you think that I will have the pto hp to churn the 72" cutter through ass high grass? thanks for any thoughts!

I would have to say yes. All of the tractors that we sell in that rage that get a brush cutter get a 72". The trick is to manage your travel speed and listen to your engine and adjust your speed to it. ....
