This whole things changes weekly. We were told this week
Feb 11 that parts will now stay in this area. My guess is that things could change a dozen times between now and the planned June shutdown. It is just so sad to see the demise of a great group of people working on a great product. They keep telling the dealers and us that it will still be available with the Steiner color and brand. Hmm I wonder.

Neberly, Are you the N.Eberly that came to my house in Saline Mich. to purchase Steiner implements back in 1998?
I am converting the engine in my Steiner to a Subaru. Would love to hear from you. Still looking for another newer but still used Steiner tractor. ....

DBacon. No that was my first cousin Nelson. He deals in used equipment although not Steiner any more. Watch your papers for private sales and auctions. Also you may want to contact some of the dealers. Industrial Vehicle over in Pontiac might have some trade ins.
Not sure what horsepower engine the Subaru is but you want to be careful not to have too much horsepower. You could do some damage to the drive line. I am not really technical but if the rpms are about the same you might be fine. I do know we put 27 Hp Kohlers in now and the Kubota 1105 series in the bigger units but still the same pump motor and axle configuration. ....
