My parents are looking to buy a BX2200 primarily for finish mowing a "yard" at their farm, but also for some light loader work. They are very interested in the PTO-driven grass catcher for the BX2200. Anybody out there have any first-hand experience with this system? How well does it work? Any drawbacks? Do you definitely need front weights if the loader is off the tractor? I ask that last one because the collection system weight is listed at 220 pounds and on a level yard I'm not convinced that front weights are necessary, but I would like to hear from actual users.

I am not familiat with this unit but I have the JD collection system on my 755. It uses a separate gas powered engine for the blower and has 13 bushel capacity. Front weight is definitely advisable on my setup because grass/leaves get heavy and although you might not actually need the weight, the machine is clearly out of balance and it bounces like crazy. ....
