Can anyone tell me a good source to order filters at a reasonable price for my TC25D? I am currently buying from the local dealer. Talk about price gouging!

You can try Zimmer tractors at the posted link. I once ordered some filters from their online store, but never did get them. (My credit card wasn't charged either). This was in November, maybe it works better now; or I suppose you could call them and order by phone.
They also have a search engine that lets you look up parts by the NH part number and returns a price.
Hope it helps,

A auto parts store can get filters for tractors the next day if they don't have them in stock. Were I live the NAPA store is alittle more than my JD parts man, go figure! ....

Somewhere deep in the archives is a long discussion about cross-referenced oil filters. As I recall, a conclusion was that there are some manufacturers of less expensive filters that publish cross-reference tables for various tractors. However, the cross-referenced filters mostly mean that the filter will fit on the tractor, not that the filter performance is necessarily the same as a dealer part. Use of some cross-referenced filters may not be good for an engine--I don't know. However, I guess there's also a possibility that some filters from after-market manufacturers may even be better than dealer filters. Myself, I don't put huge hours on my tractor. The NH filter prices may be an aggravation, but it's still a small annual expenditure for me. I stick with the NH parts, because I don't want to spend time doing a bunch of research like was reported in the old discussion. ....

i work for a new holland dealer the filter you are probably talking about is the hyd. filter yes it does hurt when you buy it we have talked to new holland about this but they say there cost from suppler is very high the good thing is it only needs to be changed every 600 hrs i highly recommend using new holland filters because we have had engines wipped out by after market filters (napa) they say they are a will fit filter but the hole in the air cleaner were the wing nut goes on is to big and the wing nut will not cover hole thus letting dirt though this has happened a number of times on the model 2120 compact tractors
