On ym 1500 and ym 1700 will these tractors overheat even if the radiator is clean. Is there any thing that can be done to prevent overheating on these tractors

Both the ym1500 & ym1700 use the thermosiphon system. There is no waterpump. If to high a cnmcentration of antifreeze is used in warm weather the coolant won't circulate properly & can cause overheating. I'd recommend running them with water in warm temps. ....

YOU CAN ALSO CHECK THE RADITIOR CAP IF IT IS OLD IT WILL LOWER THE BOILING POINT OF THE WATER AND CAUSE OVERHEATING REPLACE IT WITH A NEW CAP AND TRY THAT THAT SYSTEM IS VERY EFFECTIVE WAY OF COOLING THE ENGINE VERY FEW PROBLEMS ....
