While searching the web for PTO welders I ran across a Zena welding machine. It is powered by an external engine and seems to be very compact. Does anyone have any experience with this brand?
Thanks in advance, bliz

I bought the 200 amp unit and configured it to a old used
murray lawnmower like the one displayed on the Zena web page, it works good but the largest size rod that I can use
is 3/32 because I do not have the HP I only have a 11hp briggs+stratton, motor sounds like your are cutting tall grass when you start welding. Only problem I have had is the connection on the lead control wire connection and a
blown fuse in the control module that is attached to the
generator but company repaired it promptly.I like my unit
but would really like it if I had the power to turn it like
it should. ....

Thanks for the info. I must have missed your response.
I'm thinking of driving it from my MTD 17.5HP mower. Do you think I could run the 200A unit, or would the 150A be better.
Did you get the basic setup or some accessories? Did you make your own mounts or get the parts from Zena?
How do you like the controls on the stinger. They sound like a nice safety feature.
Thanks again. ....
