I am looking at a 1986-87 Ford 1710 4WD with loader and 350 hours. Does anyone have any spec's on the tractor( HP,pto,weight). I am looking to put a rear finish mower on it. Does this tractor have a live or transmission PTO. Was it an option. Owner does not remember.(87 years old but in good shape)Thanks for any infoRay

My owner's manual gives 23.5 pto/26 engine hp. The hydraulic pump is 7.8 gpm @ 2133 psi & 2700 rpm.
Mine has a 3x4 manual transmission. The clutch is two stage, which gives a live pto. There is power steering. I don't know if these are options or not, but they're easy to check.
An adjustable drawbar is listed as an option, so if you're planning to use the drawbar with pto, best check to make sure the drawbar can be extended.
Mine has worked out well so far. '87 isn't old for tractors, and repair manuals are still available from New Holland. Post again if you need some specifics.
