Can you straighten an auger

I have a 6" auger that isn't completely straight. There is a slight bend about 1/4 way down from the top. It's not severe enough to make it unusable, but it obviously doesn't spin true which makes it harder to guide and dig a straight hole.Does anyone know a way to true it up?

Yes you can straighten the auger, but you have to have a hidraulic press. MAny of your local dealers, "John Deere""Kabota" etc... should have the equipment to do it. It may require cutting part of the flighting out to straighten it. good dealer will have personel who can do this. ....
