My 755 tack is wacky, at a idel the rpm needle goes way past the hrs meter (at the bottom) It fulxuates back and forth very fast. Any suggestion's-Is it the cable or tach or both?

It's usually the cable. But a cable can only go wrong in a couple of ways...if it has frayed thin enough so that it can wind up or maybe if the crimped-on ends are slipping and grabbing. Either way, you should be able to tell when you slip it out of cable housing.
