It's worth looking up these old threads. There's some good information on quality and incorrect cross-references etc. There's also at least one web address that gives cross-reference tables. ....

Hi there. I went thru this not so long ago myself. The oil filter was easy for my 7265 it's a standard mitsubishi engine oil filter, seems they're almost all the same - car, tractor, whatever. The hydro and hydraulic are another story. Even with the part numbers from the cub dealer the baldwin, wix, fram and NAPA people were no help. And I went beyond just the books, in the case of baldwin actually talked to a reigonal tech rep and he was unable to find a cross. It may be a common filter, it's just not listed. Good luck! ....
