 Backhoe for NH TC25D

I have a TC25D with a Woods 1012 loader and a NH914A belly mower. I am currently looking for a backhoe with the option to install a sub-frame. I know that inorder to use the subframe the mower must be removed. However, I do not want to remove any of the mower mounting brackets and hardware. After looking at Woods 7500, Bushhog 762H, and Bradco 408, none of the dealers could tell me if the sub-frame could be installed with the mower mounting hardware. I also contacted the engineering departments of each company and none of them knew the answer for this specific application. The Woods sub-frame requires removal of the 3PT hitch arms. This means that the links to the mower mechanism must be removed to install the sub-frame. Once this is done, Woods does not know if the sub-frame will clear the mower mounting brackets bolted to the bottom of the transmission/engine. The Bushhog sub-frame looks like it must be modified to allow connection to the Woods loader mounts. Once this is done, it is not clear if the loader frame will clear the mower mounting hardware installed on the 3PT hitch arms. I have not seen the exploded view of the Bradco sub-frame and mounting hardware. Does anyone have any experience with a backhoe sub-frame and the NH914A mower? I am willing to modify the sub-frame if necessary, provided that some part of it is usable as delivered.

I too have the TC25D, and from all my research I have decided the best course of action in my case would be to buy a 3 point hitch backhoe. You may consider this idea as well. In the long run it will cause fewer problems, and will allow you to keep your 914A. Robert

Believe it or not, one of the primary reasons I bought the JD4400 over a Boomer was that the frame-mounted backhoe (JD47 or 48) was compatible with a belly mower. To my knowledge only Deere and Massey Ferguson have this capability with their OEM backhoes.

Don't know much about anybackhoe's other than the NH.
Do, however, think I ripped off a bit after finding out
about this board. Wish I new about it BEFORE I bought my 25D.
Paid 21 K fo it, super steer, loader, mower & 1 remoute.

 Backhoe for NH TC25D

Anthony, how do you like the Woods 1012 front end loader? Did you compare it to the 7308. if so, what did you conclude? I am considering a NH TC33D with a Woods 1012 loader and 7500 Backhoe.

 Backhoe for NH TC25D

Kevin,

I submitted a detailed response last week, but for some reason the message never got posted. I looked at the NH 7308 before buying the Woods 1012. The Woods unit is less expensive than the NH, lifts 400 LBS more, and fits the tractor well. Removal/installation is a five minute operation. I sugest getting a 60 inch bucket and the quick-tach option.
As for the backhoe, I looked at the Woods 7500, but purchased the Bush Hog 762 with the PTO pump option. The Bush Hog unit has dual swing cylinders, while the Woods uses a single cylinder and a chain. The Bush Hog unit has an optional sub-frame which does not mount to the 3-PT hitch pins. The Woods sub-frame mounts to the 3-PT hitch pins. I have not used the sub-frame yet, but would recommend installing it if you are going to dig deeper than 4 feet in hard/rocky soil. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Anthony
