I have ordered the plans and built one of the model 808 backhoes for my 1070 JD
It was a very worth while project, and the machine works really well. I have dug up several big pine stumps so far and and am pleased with the results. ....

I'm thinking of going the "build my own" backhoe route too.
May I ask how much you spent on materials to build the 808?
Did you buy the kit too, or just the plans? If you purchased the materials separate, was it pretty close the price quotes on the materials list that CadPlan co. estimated?
