Anyone know the reputation of this piece of equipment. A local dealer has a used 52" model for $500. Will be going to look at it tomorrow. If it doesn't look good I'll have to spring the $1400 for the new 54" pronovost. Any input is appreciated! I'm in Maine by the way.big ed

Just for the record: I went to check out the Jacobsen snow blower and it was a VERY rugged piece of equipment. It was belt driven with chain drive for the gear box. It just seemed too heavy duty for my little 20hp. I ended up getting a Ford 5' blower for $400. It was not quite as rugged, had a shear pin instead of belt drive but it was much lighter and even a foot longer and in much better shape. ....
