I just got an SD 2040; The left brake doesn't work. There is no pressure or resistance in the pedal at all. The right one works fine, It only has 33 hours on the engine.

Sounds like you may have bought a reconditioned tractor that didn't get completely reconditioned. Take the brake cover off. Either something is disconnected or missing. ....
