I have a 455 JD with a three point cat. 0 hitch and a 540 rear pto. I would like to buy a 48" wide tiller for it, but could only find one at the local JD Dealer for $2700 Can. This hurt my feelings as much as my wallets.. Any help would be appreciated.Thank You for the quick reply to my first posting.

My local JD dealer has priced the JD tiller for $1800. That is buying the whole setup. I am looking at the 445 and the 455, what is your opinion of the 455 ? ....

My (late) neighbor had a JD 455 and a Land Pride 48" tilter. I used it a couple of times and the JD 455 handled it just fine. It did a great job preparing gardens, etc;
