 4100 bucket loader leaks down

My 4100 bucket settles down within 3 or 4 minutes when I haveit loaded with dirt. I checked the fluid level- ok,also no leaksunderneath. Anyone else had this trouble. The dealer says itspossible to be the selective control valve allen bolts could loosened up or the o-rings on the mounting plates of the selectivecontol vavle. Any info appreciated.

 4100 bucket loader leaks down

I just spent the day removing an old sidewalk with my 4100 loader. With each heavy section of cement that I removed, I drove for about 2 to 4 min. and then dumped it. The bucket never sagged. I also had a 450 lb. tiller hooked to the back for ballast. That never sagged either. Either I am lucky or you have a defective unit.

 4100 bucket loader leaks down

G.Smith,If I'm understanding your properly, Your bucket starts tipping front after 3-4 minutes...Or at least that is what mine does. But I thought that was somewhat normal, because every loader I've ever used dropped a little if I have something in the bucket and the tractor is shut off. Now if its running, sounds like a leak of some sort. Don't know what to tell you.

 4100 bucket loader leaks down

I tried the 410 loader tonight with a bucket full of wet sand. With the tractor running it never moved. With the tractor turned off it sagged less than 1/2" after 15 min. This was with a 61" bucket full of wet sand. BTW I should have added some rear ballast because the tractor became very nose heavy.

 4100 bucket loader leaks down

I had this happen to me on my dump cylinders on my previous 855. Lift cylinders held a heavy load perfect for almost a day dropping only a minimal 4" from full lift height. (yes! I actually took the time to test this out, I also like to watch grass grow and watch paint dry for fun!) I kept the loader raised next to a pile with a load in my bucket, for a full day.. the loader only dropped 4" in height. Now, at full height with a load in my bucket, because of the angle of the bucket at that height Bucket cylinders barely moved.. Because the weight is sitting idle directly on top of the bucket pins, perfectly balanced there. But, when I carried or held a load, any lower than maximum lift height.. bucket would drift towards a dump.. I also corrected the problem by adjusting the Loader Lever. It only took a very minor adjustment to correct. What you basically need to do is find a more positive neutral in your Loader Lever. At some point you may even have to adjust your Hydrostatic pedals.. and find reset it to a more positive neutral someday too.. My 855 machine would very slightly creep forward till I adjusted it.. (Keep in mind all of this happened after I had that machine for about 1-2 years) just after the real breaking in period. I don't recall ever having to readjust after adjusting only once..
